The MTV Movie Awards are taking place this Sunday, April 13, and a new performance announcement has been made today: we can expect an unforgettable performance by Eminem and Rihanna this year. The duo is about to head out for their co-headlining summer stadium tour to take place in August, but before then, they will be making a stop at MTV. The frequent collaborators will be making their first televised performance of their single, “The Monster.” The night will also include fantastic performances by Ellie Goulding, Zedd and Twenty One Pilots. Mark Wahlberg and Channing Tatum will also be making an appearance to accept their awards, the Generation Award and the Trailblazer Award, respectively.
Eminem and Rihanna are no strangers to collaborating on hits together, some of which have included “Love the Way You Lie” and “Numb.” The duo’s six-date concert tour titled The Monster Tour will hit three cities in August, starting in LA. The tour will move on from the Rose Bowl in Pasadena to East Rutherford, NJ, and then come to an end in Detroit, MI.
The MTV Movie Awards will be hosted by Conan O’Brien live from the Nokia Theater at L.A. Live on Sunday, April 13 at 9PM.
