FX’s ‘The Americans’ Will See a Third Season

FX’s popular series The Americans has been renewed for a third season. The show is currently half way through its second season, and it has received a 13-episode season renewal by FX Networks.

The Americans first premiered in January 2013, and has since seen a successful run. The television show continued its second season in February 2014, and is now planning its 3rd season in 2015. The Americans stars Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys as husband and wife, and Noah Emmerich as an FBI agent.

The Americans takes place in 1981 just after the election of President Ronald Reagan. The show follows a married couple’s complicated lives of juggling a normal suburban family, but with the added difficulty of being KGB spies. The series was created and executive produced by Joe Weisberg, a former CIA agent himself.
