The Results are in for the Emmys

Downtown LA – The Emmys saw a lot of action last night in Downtown Los Angeles. The huge award show everyone was waiting for saw a lot of surprises, and overall, the best man (or woman) took home the award. One of the biggest categories that was surrounded by speculation was who was going to win the Outstanding Drama Series category. With terrific television shows in the category, such as Homeland, Breaking Bad and House of Cards, everyone knew it was going to be a tight race. With surprising losses by Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul in their respective categories, it came as a great reward when Breaking Bad was announced the winner.

Other notable moments was Modern Family continuing its winning streak as they received the Outstanding Comedy Series award. The Variety Show category welcomed a newcomer as The Colbert Show took home the win. This year, The Voice won the title of best Reality-Competition Program, while Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn from Project Runway were given the award for best Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program.

With Neil Patrick Harris as host there were plenty of laughs to be had, and Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were never far from making their next joke, although both ladies were nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, but the title went to Julia Louis-Dreyfus of Veep.
