The 2013 Ultimate Fighting Championship World Tour landed in Los Angeles on Tuesday and Glendale Fighting Club-trained Ronda Rousey was there to prove she was there to win. The press conference at Club Nokia on Tuesday pitted Rousey with her competitor Miesha Tate, who Ronda will be defending her bantamweight championship against.
Ronda Rousey trained under Edmond Tarverdyan of the Glendale Fighting Club and has since one various awards and championships in Mixed Martial Arts and Judo. Los Angeles was only the second day of the five-day, 11 city world tour that hopes to promote the four pay-per-view fights that will take place at the end of December. Ronda will be facing off again Miesha on December 28 at UFC 168 in Las Vegas.
Following the tour, the Glendale-trained fighter will be leaving to film “The Expendables 3” where she will have many of her camp members so to not interfere with her training. “The Ultimate Fighter 18” is also scheduled to premiere on Fox Sports 1 on September 4 to further build anticipation for the December match between Rousey and Tate.
